FOOD MONDAY - Chicken salad in 15 minutes!

Hello lovlies, 

So let's kick of with first Food Monday.

I just want to say that I am not or think I am any master chef :) I just enjoy cooking in my free time , which I have been having a lot lately and why not share some of the things I enjoy?:)

I feel in love with cooking recently and I love experimenting with it. I never really go along with recipes , but just kinda make my own as I go along. So for a easy peasy start I want to share with you a quick and super yummy chicken salad recipe which you can alter to you liking :)

What do you need:

You can add whatever you want really, instead of feta cheesse you could add mozzarella or gouda. That's the great thing about salads , you can add whatever you want!

1.First thing I do is chop my bread into little squares and throw them onto a previously heated pan with oil.They will make perfect homemade croutons  I am using a Olivie Oil my mum made which has some herbs and garlic added to it. It adds great to a flavour.

2.They will take no longer than 5 minutes and get golden brown. Throw them into a small dish and gram yogurt , lemon and mayo for the dressing.

For the dressing I am using about 3 table spoons of yogurt , another 3 of mayo and squeeze half a lemon. I also used some dried basil ,but thats not necessary. Now time to mix the ingredients to make a smooth dressing. 

3.For the chicken, all you have to do is place it onto the heated pan and sprinkle with seasoning of you choice. I picked a mix of chicken spices and herbs.

4.While the chicken is sizzling and cooking away , let's chop the veggies.

More variations you have then better!

I love how with each bite you taste different veggies and combinations.

5.After all the chopping is done , time to throw in your salad, chopped veggies and a sauce together. I advise to leave croutons for last  , as adding them with the sauce and mixing might make the a bit soggy. 

6.And that's the finished dish! How lovely does that look?!

It is so yummy and only takes 15 minutes!

Kat von D inspired candle decoration piece

Hola!

Okey so first of all I struggled so bad to name this post haha.

Second of all , yes this is supposed to be fashion/beauty blog but I just can not help to post some DIY once in a while! I love arty , crafty stuff and hope you do enjoy them posts , at least sometimes :).

So for those who do watch LA ink maybe you noticed the decor of Kats private studio?  

In the back she has portraits of Ludwig van Beethoven along with loads and loads of candles melted into each other. I was trying to find some pictures to show you the exact piece but it is so hard and the only pictures they are on google are such a poor quality and size.

Sooooo.... Kats candles are a pretty decent size , so I did not even thought about attempting doing such a big thing.

The first thing to do was find candles.

You CAN NOT use the ones in jars , glass etc.

My first thought was to buy a lot of candles with different thicknesses , long at short , but if you do not want to spend lots of money for something your gonna melt you will not be able to do that.

One sunny day on a walk with my lovely little family we came across our local costume shop - they were shutting down and hat a big sale on . We bought a few rather creepy pieces , was gonna leave and then BAM I came across the perfect candles. They were sling , long and RED ( this is great since I thought about doing it black and red) I bought all the candles they have left which was 60 of them for the price of £5 ! 

Now , you can not go wrong with that :)

So I took out a bit of wodden piece from the sched and decided to use it as a platform for my melted candles. To stick them onto the surcafe you need to melt the bottom of a candle and in the same time let it drip on the surface.

Now you need to be quick and stick the candle onto hot dripped wax.

This is basiclly the whole idea. 

You can break candles to make smaller and taller ones and when you have at least couple light them so they can look more used and gothic-ky?

In the end I painted the wood black ( which I probably should of done first :P) and with last little candle i made it drip on the platform so I can stick my bugs onto it.

I love the ending idea, it gives the dark kind of church like feeling to the room , although I would not recomend lighting all the candles at once coz they will melt into each other and break in half , so be care full   hope you enjoyed it!

Halloween #1- witch dresses

Yes, it's Halloween this very month!

I know I am getting excited maybe a little bit too early?

Oh well,

I am really excited ,but do not even know if I will get a chance to dress up :(

Anyways , I love Halloween for the simple fact of dressing up , you can go as crazy as you can and I think everyone should.

Although the costumes you can get in a costume shop are , let's face it , cheap made , tacky looking and mostly quite mmm sluty can I say?

So I found couple of dresses from high street that you could pair up with a hat some heels even fishnets and make a perfect Halloween witch

Look at those gorgeous dresses.

What do you think,

is it better to put few pieces together to have a nice looking costume?

And something I am so curious about ,

Home decor

Aloha!

SO today something diffrent ( is it just me or it feel like I say it in almost every post? haha )

Anyways............

Who does not dream about their dream houses? Jacuzzi ,  saunas, big pool with a bar in the middle , open kitchen of the size of few rooms , bedroom just like from the movie scene , classy white color , expensive décor.

But hold on , I just do not see myself having a classy house. I am such a decor person , I love putting loads of pictures on wall , putting candles everywhere , for me more is MORE!

So here is some pictures of houses I love the look of !

I would love fresh flowers everywhere, crazy colours on walls and loads of patterned rugs!

Futuristic sculptures , pretty lights hanging from the sealing and funky furniture with fluffy pillows!

Ahh....

it is good to dream....

but it is better to make dreams come true.

Melt the rainbow!

Hello dolls , 

So finally a new post and something different this time.

I love DIY and fun art projects and recently my friend introduced  me to this quick , fun and amazing looking  

art piece.

So how to do it?

All you need is :

*canvas

*cardboard

*few packs of wax crayons

*glue gun

*glue sticks

*pen

* hair-dryer

1.First you need to look up the rainbow colors and pick few of each the same wax crayons

2.Pill of the paper of wax crayons

3.Glue them next to each other on top of the canvas using glue gun

4.Draw an image on the cardboard ( I did a cartoon me , my bf and our daughter :P) 

5.Paste the little cardboard picture down on the canvas. (It need to be on thick cardboard so the crayons dont melt over it.)

6.And simply use a hairdryer to melt crayons and let them drip down the canvas.

I think it is so fun and also got a lot of complements on it! It is so easy and as a arty person I love that kind of stuff! So if you have some fun tutorial like that or any DIY let me know!

I am curently hunting for nice DIY center piece ideas with candles so if any of you seen some please let me know!

DIY Keep the bacteria away from your brushes! Quick ,easy and fun!

Hello lovely readers!

I hope you all are doing alright , I am feeling better nowdays and I am so glad I finally can get out of bed and do some chores ,haha.

So recently I do everything to improve my skin. Back in a day I would not take care of my sponges or brushes but today , oh me!

I do weekly cleaning ( checks HOW I CLEAN MY BRUSHES) and I am recently looking to purchase a daily brush cleaner spray. But so what if the dust if going to gain on the brushes anyways?

That is why we should keep them covered. I know you do not have to do so or anything ,and personally I like the way brushes look , it makes my make up table feel so ...professional haha. 

But then I know how dust is everywhere and it disgust me when I use my brush but have to tap off the dust first. So I decided I have to store them difrentlly.

I collect every box after chocolates , sweeties and all that stuff for college purposes. I never know what I will need to I collect loads of rubbish. 

So I have notice that one of the boxes after chocolate goodies will be perfect for some of my brushes!

Although I do not want loads of boxes and storage with label and chocolates on them - not cute !

So for this super quick easy and fun DIY project all you need is:

1.Scissors

2.Funky paper - I have whole block of scrapbook pappers to choose from , you could use some old wallpaper too!

3.Double sided tape

4.A box

5.And pencil

So I chosen this cute polka dot pattern paper and all I have done for first step was to hold the card onto my box and mark how much i have to cut off.

Then I put the lid onto the rest of paper and trace the shape that I cut of afterwards.

I put the double sided table on the edges of the paper to simply keep it in place.

And just simply place your cut out paper on the storage box!

And your done! It looks so much better doesn't it?

I just showed you one example , but you can and I will look for more taller boxes and other storage after candy boxes to make them cuter and storage more , coz obviously this box of mine is not tall enough to storage some of the big brushes. But no worries I am getting there!

So here we go .
